We often associate Jewish education with children, but the study of Torah is a lifelong endeavor. If you are eager to learn more about your heritage in an adult setting, we have just the course for you!  Our 18-month course includes topics such as God, Israel, biblical history, the origin and meaning of Jewish holidays, the structure of daily prayer, contemporary Jewish life, Shabbat, Kashrut and so much more.  During this course, we will also offer Hebrew reading classes as well as instruction in reading Torah, haftorah, and leading prayers.  This course is especially ideal for . . .

  • Jews-by-Choice and those in the conversion process who have completed Foundations of Judaism
  • Parents who want to keep up their children’s Jewish education
  • Women who never had the chance to celebrate a bat mitzvah
  • Those who had a bar/bat mitzvah as kids, but want to reconnect with Jewish learning in an adult way
  • Individuals who would like to participate in a group Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony
  • Those who would also like to observe an individual Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony in addition to the group celebration
  • You!

“This class is special to me because it’s giving me a sense of identity, a piece of my life I didn’t get when I was younger.”

“Torah has become a good friend, like this is what I am supposed to be doing and it feels just right.”
