Children’s learning is the responsibility of the parents. Parents you have responded admirably to by choosing to continue your child’s education through the Galinsky Academy. All of a child’s learning does not occur within the hours provided in “structured” programming. The JJC is committed to helping you weave “Jewish” into the experiences you and your child have on a regular basis. While below we describe many of the programs offered here at the Jacksonville Jewish Center, you are invited and encouraged to reach out to Justin Sakofs, the Director of Congregational Learning who is happy to provide coaching on ways you capitalize on Jewish knowledge to everyday conversations.
As a young family, join friends for Shalom Baby, Family Music & Movement. These meet ups occur at the Center and often continue to lunch dates following every session.
The Jacksonville community is a proud partner with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation in bringing PJ Library to the youth of our community. Please sign up for PJ Library at www.pjlibrary.org where children ages 6 months to 8 will receive a Jewish book to build your own library.
For children age 8.5 through 11 register for PJ Our Way, where children select a book monthly to build their own library based on interest. Visit www.pjourway.org for more details.
