About

Welcome to the Jacksonville Jewish Center! Thank you for your interest in our synagogue. The Center prides itself on being a warm and caring Kehilat Kesher (“A Community of Connection”) that provides a spiritual home for Jews of all ages. Ours is an inclusive synagogue, which welcomes singles, married/partnered and inter-married/inter-partnered families seeking a home within the Jewish community.  The Jacksonville Jewish Center offers vibrant, meaningful worship services including daily morning and evening minyan, excellent education, youth, adult and Jewish holiday programming, as well as dynamic cultural activities.

The Jacksonville Jewish Center offers a diverse range of opportunities for spiritual growth, Jewish education and communal involvement commensurate with our size. “The Center” strives, however, to think of itself as a close-knit family. We share in one another’s moments of joy, and offer comfort and support in times of tragedy. Those who visit our community for life cycle events often remark on the extraordinary degree of caring warmth with which the synagogue embraces its membership in circumstances happy or sad.

The Center is a multi-generational congregation, with many families whose ties to the congregation span the better part of a century. At the same time, we are blessed with numerous families who have relocated to Jacksonville from around the country and other parts of the globe. As Florida’s First Coast continues to grow in population, we remain committed to the Jewish precept of welcoming all who enter our doors.

Whether we are singing and celebrating Shabbat together, sitting down to explore the insights and profound wisdom found in our Torah, or gathering with members of our congregation to make a difference in our community, we are a congregational family dedicated to deepening and enriching our connection to Judaism. The Jacksonville Jewish Center is in the heart of Jacksonville’s dynamic Jewish Community.  We are fortunate to have a beautiful campus on 35 acres in a park-like setting that our Camp Ki Tov utilizes, featuring ball fields, basketball courts, a full swimming facility, campgrounds and more! Our Galinsky Academy is the umbrella for the Bernard and Alice Selevan Religious School, the DuBow Preschool, Setzer Youth Education, and the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School. We offer an exceptional Sisterhood and Men’s Club Program and an award-winning United Synagogue Youth Program.
