5781 Annual Appeal

This is the time of the year when our entire Jacksonville Jewish Center family comes together to reflect upon the past and contemplate the future. Your Annual Appeal pledge made during the High Holy Days provides the critical funds required for the continued support, growth and development of our Center community. Last year, thanks to your generosity, and coupled with matching grants, we exceeded our goal! Our goal this year is $340,000. Please help us reach our goal and achieve 100% participation.

These last several months have been extremely challenging for our congregation. Our shul and schools have had to make tough financial decisions based on this unforeseeable pandemic. We have no idea when the building will be fully operational again. To that end, we have had to invest heavily in technology for programming outside the facility as well as high-end safety protective measures inside the facility. We hope that you have taken advantage of the multiple ways that we have provided programming over the summer and look forward to welcoming you back in the building when we can do so safely.

With our high holy day services being online this year, the board made the decision to not charge for high holy day tickets.  We would ask that as you decide how much you will donate to the annual appeal that you will consider adding the $75 high holy day ticket fee per adult to your donation this year to help us cover this loss in revenue.

We have three matches this year for your gift:

  1. A dollar for dollar match for your donation.
  2. Any increase you donate over last year’s donation will be matched at $2 for every new $1 donated. This means an increase in your gift is worth double and therefore, an even greater impact!!
  3. A match for new givers.  If you haven’t given before, your donation will be matched dollar for dollar.

Each and every congregant… each and every family… is a valued member and plays a critical role in our success.  Thank you for your continued support of the Jacksonville Jewish Center.
