Jacob Campbell to Chant Haftarah with Our Community

Celebrate Jacob’s coming of age by joining him and his immediate family as he marks the occasion by chanting Haftarah on May 14th. Center Clergy will charge Jacob with the mitzvot as he continues his Jewish learning and involvement in our community. This wonderful simha is able to be shared through Zoom with many of the Campbell’s family and friends, both near and far, as well as their Center family. We wish Mazel Tov to Jacob, his father David, sister Mia, and grandparents Rita & Manny Stearman.

Jacob Campbell is a 7th grader at the Green Cove Springs Junior High where his favorite subjects are math and science. Jacob excels at cross-country running and enjoys spending time with his friends and family. As part of our Center B’nei Mitzvah Program, Jacob chose 13 mitzvot that involved Jewish values and rituals including not gossiping for 24 hours and not eating hametz on Passover. Jacob found practicing his Haftarah with his tutor, Lois Tompkins a very meaningful experience.
